When modifying an off-road suspension with a lift kit, the entire geometry of the axle construction changes dramatically. In vehicles with a rigid rear axle guided by a standard Panhard rod, lifting the body causes the entire axle to shift unevenly to one side. The consequences are an asymmetrical wheelbase, deteriorated stability when cornering, uneven tire wear, and increased stress on the drivetrain components.
The adjustable rear Panhard rod (track bar/reaction rod) from MorE 4x4 is the professional solution to fully restore the correct suspension geometry. This product replaces the original, rigid Panhard rod and allows the rear axle to be precisely re-aligned centrally under the ladder frame after a suspension lift of +2 inches (5 cm) or +4 inches (10 cm). Thanks to the integrated adjustment mechanism (right/left-hand thread), the axle can be adjusted with absolute precision when installed.
The design of the MorE 4x4 Panhard rod has been extremely reinforced (Heavy Duty) to withstand the enormous lateral forces acting on the wheels in rough terrain, on inclines, or in deep ruts. A durable powder coating reliably protects the component from corrosion, mud, and stone chips.
The Panhard rod is a link mounted transversely to the direction of travel that absorbs the lateral forces transmitted from the wheels to the vehicle. It ensures that the rigid rear axle remains in a predefined, stable position relative to the frame and body. An indispensable component for safe and predictable handling on asphalt as well as on challenging off-road expeditions.
