This skid plate specifically covers two essential components simultaneously: the engine (including oil pan) and the front axle differential.

The Ranger Raptor is built for uncompromising high-speed off-road driving and extreme terrain. However, those who operate the vehicle as intended over rocky trails, through deep ruts, or in tough forestry applications expose the underside to enormous risks. Since the Raptor has independent front suspension, the front differential housing is relatively low in the potential impact area due to its design. An careless grounding on sharp-edged rocks, massive tree stumps, or hard impacts on blocked paths can tear open the engine oil pan or damage the differential housing. This leads to immediate oil loss and catastrophic mechanical damage to the engine and drivetrain, resulting in extremely expensive repairs.
